Recently, the 13 training labs tailor-made by the Sino-German Dolang Group for Cambodia have officially been put into operation. These labs focus on cutting-edge fields such as intelligent manufacturing, automotive technology, and electronic engineering. They are distributed across three major provincial-level cities in Cambodia: Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, and Siem Reap. They fill the gap in the cultivation of high-end skilled talents in Cambodia and pioneer an innovative model of integrated Chinese vocational education output that includes "technology + standards + services." This model provides a new paradigm for China-Cambodia international integration of industry and education.
In recent years, Cambodia's industrialization process has accelerated, leading to a surge in demand for technical and skilled talents in advanced manufacturing, modern agriculture, and modern service industries. The 13 training labs, which have been built in a concentrated effort, will provide technical and skills support for the empowerment of regional characteristic industries.
Phnom Penh
As the core of industrial automation technology, this region has established four training labs: belt conveyor systems, PLC intelligent control, intelligent vehicle motion control, and KNX intelligent building. These labs aim to cultivate talents in the fields of Industry 4.0 and smart cities.
Kampong Chhnang
Focusing on the automotive industry and advanced manufacturing, five training labs have been constructed: automotive repair and inspection (including new energy), intelligent refrigeration, precision electronics, and sensors. These labs serve the automotive aftermarket and high-end manufacturing industries.
Siem Reap
In response to the needs of agricultural modernization, four training labs have been created: electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and refrigeration. These labs support the upgrade of infrastructure and sustainable development.

These training labs, by exporting Chinese technical and skills standards, create the "Dolang Innovation" talent cultivation model. They achieve integrated teaching that combines "business environment with educational environment, teaching practice with production practice, theory with practice, and knowledge with ability." This model precisely meets the needs of the industry and will provide a stable supply of talents for Cambodia's economic development, solving the problem of talent shortage.
Compared with the traditional one-way output model of equipment exports, this cooperation, with "empowering local communities" as its core logic, aims to build a technical talent cultivation system in Cambodia that is adapted to the digital economy era. Through a comprehensive solution that includes "internship training, faculty development, and curriculum development," it helps local skill talent cultivation to form a self-sustaining mechanism. It has become a strong support for local industrial development and a booster for the joint growth of the country and its talents. With the establishment and operation of the 13 training labs in Cambodia, this sustainable international vocational education cooperation model is expected to create a chain of demonstration effects in the ASEAN region.
